Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installer to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and construction experience, with a proven ability to install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems efficiently and safely. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of projects, demonstrating leadership and technical expertise in a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high standards of installation and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Install, commission, and test air conditioning units in residential, commercial, and industrial settings including VRV/VRF, chillers, MVHR units and more
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and installation manuals to ensure precise execution of projects
Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing air conditioning systems as required
Lead installation teams when necessary, providing guidance and supervision to junior staff
Troubleshoot system faults using specialised equipment and diagnostic tools
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
Collaborate with clients to determine specific requirements and provide expert advice on system selection and optimisation
Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
Overtime paid door to door with weekend work available

Qualifications

Proven experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, or repair
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
Demonstrable construction experience with a focus on HVAC systems
Leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring team members
Proficiency in equipment repair and troubleshooting techniques for air conditioning units
Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations within the construction and HVAC sectors
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
Valid driving licence is essential to facilitate transportation between sites
