About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established electronics manufacturing company for an experienced Wiring Operative / High Level Assembly (HLA) Technician to join their production team.
This is a hands-on role involving the assembly and wiring of electronic products to a high standard. You will work from engineering drawings, wiring schedules and build instructions, ensuring products meet quality and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electro-mechanical products and PCB assemblies.
- Build cable looms, harnesses and wiring assemblies.
- Carry out crimping, terminating and soldering of wires and connectors.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and engineering drawings.
- Install and route cables neatly and accurately.
- Carry out visual inspections and basic electrical continuity checks.
- Identify and report any build or quality issues.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a wiring, cable assembly or High Level Assembly (HLA) role.
- Experience working within an electronics or PCB manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
- Experience with cable loom assembly, crimping and connector termination.
- Good soldering skills (through-hole or fine wiring experience desirable).
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
