Role Overview
We are looking for a practical, enthusiastic and skilled Workshop Fabricator / Display Technician to join our growing production team. This is a hands-on role within a busy creative workshop, manufacturing and assembling bespoke displays, signage, exhibition features and seasonal decorations for a wide range of commercial clients throughout the UK.
The successful candidate will have experience in one or more trade disciplines and be willing to develop new skills within our diverse workshop environment. Every project is different, offering the opportunity to work with a wide range of materials, machinery and creative production techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, assemble and finish bespoke displays, signage and decorative installations.
- Assist in the fabrication of seasonal Christmas decorations, exhibition features and promotional displays.
- Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Apply self-adhesive vinyl graphics to a high standard.
- Operate sign-making equipment including large format printers, vinyl cutters and laminators (where experienced).
- Read and interpret production drawings, artwork and job specifications.
- Assist with carpentry and general fabrication projects using timber, aluminium, plastics and other materials.
- Prepare products for delivery and installation.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Assist with on-site installations throughout the UK when required.
- Work collaboratively with designers, project managers and the wider production team to meet project deadlines.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Practical workshop experience within a manufacturing, display, signage or fabrication environment.
- Good hand skills and the ability to work accurately.
- Experience using power tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new techniques.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Sign making and graphic production.
- Vinyl application.
- Operation of large format printers, vinyl cutters and laminating equipment.
- Carpentry and joinery.
- Exhibition stand construction.
- Set building or scenic construction.
- Display manufacturing.
- Metal fabrication.
- Basic electrical assembly for illuminated displays.
- Painting and finishing techniques.
- Installation of signage, displays or seasonal decorations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- IPAF, PASMA or CSCS certification (preferred but not essential).

Pay: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
