Full job description

Job Title: Care Home Manager

Locations: Crieff PH7

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £50,000 per annum plus up to £12,000 occupancy bonus + £7,200 quality bonus (annual).

Work Location and hours: In person/ 40 hours/week

We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Care Home Manager for a care home in Crieff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong care leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and creating a positive environment for residents, families, and staff.

As Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and smooth running of the care home. You will lead the team, maintain high standards of care, ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate requirements, and support the continued development of the service.

We are looking for candidates who have strong leadership experience within a care home or healthcare setting and a genuine commitment to improving residents’ quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day running of the care home
Promote residents’ independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing
Ensure high standards of person-centred care are delivered consistently
Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations, policies, and procedures
Lead, support, develop, and motivate the care home team
Recruit, train, and develop staff while promoting a positive working culture
Maintain strong communication with residents, families, colleagues, senior management, and external stakeholders
Manage budgets, occupancy, performance, and operational targets
Work closely with operations and finance teams to support the home’s performance
Monitor quality standards and drive continuous improvement
Ensure safe staffing levels and effective rota management
Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation
Promote the home positively within the local community

Requirements

Previous experience as a Care Home Manager, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, or similar senior leadership role in a care setting
Strong understanding of care home operations and regulatory compliance
Knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards preferred
Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate care teams
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Good computer literacy and ability to manage reports and documentation
Ability to manage budgets, occupancy, staffing, and service quality
Passionate about person-centred care and resident wellbeing
Must have the right to work in the UK
Successful candidates will be subject to satisfactory references and PVG checks
