Full job description

The Grand Hotel Leicester by The Unlimited Collection is seeking enthusiastic and engaging Food & Beverage Attendants to join our Conference & Events Team on a casual basis.

This is a flexible role, offering hours to support the Conference & Events operation during busy periods, conferences, weddings, private functions and special events. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

The Food & Beverage Attendant will:

Deliver exceptional food and beverage service throughout conferences, meetings, weddings and events.
Prepare and set up event spaces, including room layouts, tables, buffets and refreshment stations, ensuring all areas meet the required standards.
Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing a warm and memorable experience.
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of food, beverages and event service standards.
Ensure all function rooms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hotel to ensure events run smoothly from set-up through to breakdown.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, taking the initiative to exceed expectations where possible.
Complete all daily duties and event checklists efficiently and accurately.
Support the team by providing flexible cover during busy periods, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in food and beverage service, ideally within conferences, banqueting, events or hospitality (preferred but not essential).
A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Excellent communication and guest engagement skills.
The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, flexible and team-focused attitude.
A good command of spoken and written English.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, in line with business needs.
