At Grundon, we are on the lookout for a dynamic, passionate, and driven Logistics Business Analyst to join our Operations team on a 12 month FTC based in Beenham.

Reporting into the General Manager, you will play a key role in supporting operational improvements within our Waste Collection division. You will analyse business processes, performance data, and operational trends to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, cost savings, and improved service delivery. Working closely with teams across the business, including IT and fellow Business Analysts, you will provide data-driven insights, support process improvements, and help deliver solutions that enable informed decision-making and drive continued success.
What will you do
- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements, analyse processes, and deliver effective solutions, reports, and system improvements.
- Reviewing operational data and performance trends to provide actionable insights that support informed decision-making.
- Identifying opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, including route optimisation, cost control, service performance, and resource planning.
- Acting as a link between business teams and technical specialists, ensuring clear communication of requirements, solutions, and project progress.
- Developing and maintaining reporting dashboards, forecasts, and analytical tools to support operational planning and performance management.
- Supporting budget planning, pricing reviews, and scenario modelling to identify risks, opportunities, and future requirements.
- Monitoring key performance indicators across logistics operations, including customer service, efficiency, costs, and operational trends.
- Analysing data from systems, including fleet and workshop management tools, to support effective decision-making around maintenance, investment, and resource allocation.
- Benchmarking performance across depots and identifying areas for improvement, risk mitigation, and process development.
- Collaborating with teams to develop improved processes, share best practice, and promote continuous improvement.
- Building strong relationships across the organisation, providing clear reporting and insights to stakeholders at all levels.

About You
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in business analysis, process improvement, or a related role.
- Experience within Waste Management, Logistics, or a similar operational environment is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and process mapping techniques.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate results.
- Excellent attention to detail when reviewing data, preparing documentation, and supporting system validation.
- Experience using ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics NAV, would be advantageous.
