About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing team based in Chichester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a combination of engineering knowledge and sales experience who enjoys building customer relationships, solving technical problems and identifying new business opportunities.

You will be responsible for managing an established customer base across two closely related businesses while also developing new business opportunities. As the role grows, so will your earning potential through our uncapped commission scheme, rewarding you for every new customer and sales opportunity you generate.

About Our Businesses

The role supports two established companies operating in specialist engineering sectors:

A supplier of vending machine parts and components to customers throughout the UK.

A supplier of specialist pumps used across a wide range of industries including:

· Medical equipment

· Window cleaning systems

· Industrial applications

· Laboratory equipment

· Manufacturing

· Water treatment and many other specialist sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with an established customer base.

Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email.

Provide technical advice and recommend suitable products and solutions.

Prepare quotations and process customer orders.

Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into sales.

Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive sales activity.

Generate new customer accounts and grow existing customer spend.

Work closely with suppliers to source products and technical information.

Maintain accurate customer records within the company.

Assist customers with technical troubleshooting where appropriate.

Keep up to date with new products and industry developments.

Represent the businesses professionally and always deliver exceptional customer service.

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Base Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus uncapped commission

The successful candidate will ideally have:

· A technical or engineering background.

· Previous experience in a sales, technical sales or customer-facing engineering role.

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

· The ability to understand technical products and explain them clearly to customers.

· A proactive, self-motivated approach with a genuine passion for winning new business.

· Strong organisational and administrative skills.

· Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

· The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
