We are looking for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team.
You will be producing a wide range of high-quality textile products including bags, pouches, harnesses, belts, covers, organisers, equipment carriers and other sewn technical products. The work involves a variety of materials, webbing, hook & loop, foam, zips and hardware, with very little repetitive production.
This is a fast-paced role where quality, accuracy and efficiency are equally important.
Responsibilities
- Operating industrial sewing machines to a high standard.
- Cutting fabrics and materials from patterns and templates.
- Manufacturing a variety of textile products from start to finish.
- Working with materials including Cordura, nylon, polyester, webbing, mesh, hook & loop and other technical fabrics.
- Installing zips, buckles, bindings and other hardware.
- Checking finished products meet quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Working as part of a small manufacturing team to meet production deadlines.
Essential Requirements
Please only apply if you have previous industrial sewing machine experience.
You must:
- Have proven experience using industrial sewing machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Be confident sewing multiple product types rather than only one repetitive item.
- Be able to accurately follow drawings, patterns and work instructions.
- Produce neat, consistent, high-quality stitching.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be a quick learner who can adapt to making new products.
- Be able to work efficiently under pressure without compromising quality.
- Be reliable, punctual and take pride in your work.
- Have a positive attitude and be willing to help wherever required.
Experience with the following:
- Walking foot sewing machines.
- Binding machines.
- Bar-tack machines.
- Pattern cutting.
- Working with technical or heavy-duty fabrics.
- Manufacturing bags, cases, harnesses, outdoor equipment, sporting goods, workwear, upholstery or similar sewn products.

This role is not suitable for beginners.
We are looking for someone who can confidently operate industrial sewing machinery from day one. Training will be provided on our products and manufacturing methods, but applicants must already have relevant industrial sewing experience.
If you have only used domestic sewing machines or have sewing as a hobby, this role is unlikely to be suitable.
