Due to the expansion of our Digital Skills provision and increased focus on skills development through Adult Skills Fund (ASF) funding, we are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer in Digital Skills to deliver engaging, high-quality learning opportunities across our growing curriculum.

Working across a range of settings, including community venues and partner organisations such as RAF Benson, you will play a key role in helping learners gain valuable skills, confidence and qualifications that support further learning, employment and personal development.
What You'll Be Doing

Plan, deliver and assess high-quality learning programmes that inspire and motivate learners.
- Deliver digital literacy courses such as Digital Skills for Life, that empower learners to engage with the digital world and to gain confidence in using digital devices
- Teach on qualification courses, such as Essential Digital Skills
- Develop and deliver bespoke courses in partnership with community groups and employers, for example Excel for Beginners
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learner groups and promote an inclusive learning environment.
- Develop engaging learning materials using a variety of digital and blended learning methods.
- Support learner progress, achievement and success through effective assessment, feedback and pastoral support.
- Contribute to curriculum development and help shape the future of Digital Skills provision.
- Maintain current industry knowledge and bring emerging technologies and trends into the classroom.
What We’re Looking For
Essential

Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience of teaching or training within a digital, IT or technology-related area.
- A passion for digital innovation and learner success.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to engage and support learners from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Desirable

Experience of teaching adults or post-16 learners.
- Industry experience within AI, cyber security, coding, gaming or wider digital technologies.
- Existing employer or industry links.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction (must be completed within probation), followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET) including Assessor is required, and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. Completion of this structured learning programme is expected within 3 years. Furthermore, there is the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Learning Status (QTLS).
