We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Door Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automatic doors across various commercial and industrial sites. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair automatic doors, including sliding, folding, and revolving types.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential faults or safety issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems associated with automatic doors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to plan installation schedules and provide technical support.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry, or masonry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and fabrication techniques related to automatic door mechanisms.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment is essential.
- Experience working with construction painting or plastering is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or training in electrical or mechanical systems will be advantageous. Pay: £40,064.82-£65,773.34 per year
