We're looking for a Support Worker to make a real difference in the life of a young gentleman living with a Traumatic Brain Injury.
He has a wonderfully positive outlook and enjoys an active, fulfilling lifestyle. Whether it's playing golf, going to the gym, swimming, visiting the cinema, attending hydrotherapy sessions, or spending time in the local community, no two days are the same. He also attends regular therapy appointments in the local area, where you'll provide support and encouragement.
We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is positive, reliable, and enjoys building meaningful relationships. Ideally, you'll share some of his interests, such as golf, swimming, and going to the gym, enabling you to actively participate in and encourage the activities he enjoys.
He lives independently in a self-contained flat within the family annexe, offering a comfortable and welcoming environment. There are cats on the main property, so applicants should be comfortable around pets.

Location: Sandhurst
Roles Available:
- Part time: 30 hours / 3 shifts per week
Shift Patterns:
- Monday to Friday: 08:00-18:30
- Saturdays: 10:00-17:00
- Sunday (once a month): 08:00-18:30
- Bank Holidays and weekend work form part of the rota
Pay Rates:
- £17.50 per hour weekday rate
- £18.50 per hour weekend rate
- Double time for Bank Holidays
- £1.00 per hour less during probationary period
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and medication support
- Supporting with daily living tasks and household duties
- Accompanying the client on outings and occasional trips
Person Specification
Essential:
- Positive attitude with a vibrant personality
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to transport the client in their own vehicle (must have Business Insurance, mileage is paid at 55p per mile)
- Previous care experience
- Experience of complex care and/Acquired Brain Injury
- Comfortable in a home with pets
- Flexible and reliable
Preferred:
- Experience in complex community care is desirable

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose: To support your client with their day-to-day living, promoting their independence and supporting them to live a fulfilled life ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Internal and Management: This role will report to the Registered Manager
Key Duties/Responsibilities of our Support Worker:
Supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by:
- Provide practical support for your client and their family, such as helping with personal care, household tasks and paperwork
- Assist and encourage your client to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual's choice
- Support and monitor your client's healthcare needs, including administering medication and other clinical tasks
- Help your clients to access community facilities and be included in community groups, if they so wish
- Understand their communication needs and adapt your own communication style accordingly
- Keep accurate, up to date records of all the care you provide
- Work positively with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Participate in learning and development opportunities as required
