If you’re an experienced marketer and love music, this role could be perfect for you!
Atlas Records is the UK’s fastest-growing second hand online record store, and we’re looking for a marketing manager to support and improve our marketing efforts.
You’ll work directly with the founder, and alongside our head of content in the marketing team, but this is a role in which your day-to-day will be largely self-directed. If there's one skillset that will make you stand out from the crowd, it's that you'll be analytical and data-driven.
You'll manage results across paid channels and agency partners across SEO, direct mail and paid social, but this is not a completely hands-off role. The successful candidate will take on responsibility for execution of our email channel, including testing & optimising campaigns and flows, and our CRO efforts.
You don’t have to be able to do everything yourself - we use freelancers for some graphic design work and development - but you will need to be resourceful, and focussed relentlessly on managing our marketing efforts as one, not just on a channel-by-channel basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to help write the next chapter of Atlas Records' growth. You'll inherit established processes and the freedom to sharpen and build on them.
This is a permanent full-time role, with a salary between £34,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience. There is no hybrid option available for this role - it is fully based in our office in Creech St. Michael.
All of our team benefit from a staff discount, as an added perk, and other perks can be discussed at interview.
Key responsibilities
- Conversion rate optimisation (CRO): lead our testing and iteration programme.
- Email marketing: run regular campaigns and continuously improve automated flows through A/B testing in Klaviyo.
- Agency management: manage our external partners across paid social, direct mail and SEO.
- Promotions: execute campaigns across the website, email and social channels to deliver a joined-up approach and maximise uptake.
- Content & SEO: produce blog and SEO content, or delegate and oversee it where appropriate.
- Reporting: deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting to the founder.
What we're looking for
We care more about how you think than how long you've been doing this. You'll likely be a strong fit if:
- You're genuinely analytical - comfortable digging into data, forming a view, and letting the numbers change your mind.
- You've run marketing across multiple channels and can show results you're proud of, whether that's from an in-house role, agency work, or your own projects.
- You're hands-on with tools like Klaviyo (or have picked up similar platforms quickly) and aren't fazed by testing, tracking and iterating.
- You're resourceful - you find a way, whether that means doing it yourself, briefing a freelancer, or managing an agency.
- A healthy sceptic. You don't take a positive-looking dashboard at face value; you ask what's behind it, and you're not afraid to disagree.
- You can hold the whole marketing picture in your head, not just one channel at a time.
- You're happy owning your day and driving things forward without close supervision
