Equans is looking for a Handyperson to join our team in Motherwell. This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Perform general maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, minor mechanical or electrical repairs, painting and fabric maintenance activities.
- Inspect and troubleshoot issues in building systems and equipment, providing timely repairs or reporting if specialised servicing is needed.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and compliance activities as required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritize work orders effectively, and maintain tools and supplies inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Assist site team with day-to-day running of the contract and support portering duties as needed.
- Liaise with contractors or external service providers and keep accurate records of work performed.
- Take on certain Appointed Person / Responsible Person roles across the sites.

Who are you?
- Proven experience as a Handyperson or in a similar maintenance role.
- Broad knowledge of basic building maintenance, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems is desirable.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual labour.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- Relevant trade certifications or licenses a plus but not mandatory.
