Gardener Team Leader - Full-time
Location: Salisbury (SP5 1)
Salary: Competitive & DOE
Hours: Mon to Thurs 07:30 – 18:15. Fri 07.30 - 17.30. Finish times will be reduced by approx 45 mins - 1 hour during standard Winter time & proximity to lock-up
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join the maintenance team or someone with horticultural experience ready to take the next step into leadership.
The exiting team leader will be departing from their role early 2027 and sufficient time is required to integrate to the role and familiarise with working practices/client expectations.
You'll be leading a small team, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and supervising a small team of landscapers and gardeners.
Carrying out all aspects of soft landscaping and grounds maintenance.
Problem solving - we like to hear solutions.
Lawn mowing, strimming, hedge cutting and pruning.
Planting trees, shrubs, plants and disease identification/prevention.
Weeding, watering and general garden maintenance.
Assisting other team with some soft & some hard landscaping, garden improvements and landscaping projects.
Operating company vehicles, landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on schedule.
Liaising professionally with customers and reporting progress to management.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in landscaping, gardening or grounds maintenance.
Experience leading or supervising a team is preferred.
Full UK driving licence and own transport are essential. We have vehicles to carry out the work.
Able to travel to the our yard east of Salisbury every morning.
Reliable, hardworking and professional.
Good communicator and have leadership skills.
Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
