This Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Specialist to join our growing Seafood team based in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to support a global team delivering assurance, certification, and auditing services across the seafood supply chain.

Working closely with operational managers, auditors, clients, and scheme owners, you will play a critical role in ensuring audits are planned, delivered, billed, and reported efficiently while providing exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the end-to-end administration of seafood certification and assurance programmes.
Planning and coordinating audits with clients and auditors across multiple countries.
Managing auditor availability, scheduling, travel arrangements, and related logistics.
Monitoring audit progress and following up on outstanding actions to ensure delivery targets are achieved.
Producing reports, management information, and operational performance updates.
Supporting invoice generation and resolution of billing queries.
Maintaining accurate client and audit records within business systems.
Acting as a key point of contact for auditors, and internal teams.
Assisting with accreditation, compliance, and scheme administration activities.
Supporting operational improvement initiatives and helping identify efficiencies within existing processes.
Working collaboratively with commercial and operational colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, customer service, business support, or operations support role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confidence working with a variety of stakeholders.
Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a wider team environment.
A proactive mindset and a willingness to solve problems and drive tasks through to completion.

Desirable Experience

Experience within certification, assurance, auditing, food, agriculture, seafood, logistics, or professional services environments.
Experience working with scheduling or resource planning systems.
Knowledge of seafood certification schemes such as MSC, ASC, MarinTrust, GlobalG.A.P., BAP, or related programmes.
Experience supporting international teams and clients.
