Job Summary - Farming Environment

We are seeking a dedicated Gardener/Handyman/woman to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces, ensuring they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for gardening and landscape maintenance, with practical skills in using various tools and equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the upkeep of gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas.

Responsibilities

Perform general gardening duties including planting, pruning, weeding, and lawn care
Operate hand tools such as spades, shears, and rakes to maintain garden beds and lawns
Use power tools for tasks like edging, hedge trimming, and aeration
Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and repairs when necessary
Conduct landscape maintenance activities to preserve the visual appeal of outdoor spaces
Carry out minor repairs around the property, including fixing fences or garden structures
Assist with seasonal planting and fertilisation programmes
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times

Experience

Proven experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools for outdoor work
Growing experience or knowledge of plant care and garden design is advantageous
Practical understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance
Previous handyman or general maintenance experience is beneficial but not essential
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
