Full job description

Mandarin Stone is a leading importer of natural stone and porcelain products in the UK. We are a family run business that has grown into a very successful and reputable company within the industry. Our Head Office is based in the beautiful Wye Valley in the Welsh border town of Monmouth. We have 16 inspirational showrooms across the UK and we currently have numerous vacancies across our sites & showrooms.

Showroom Manager

Exeter

About the role

Duties include:

– Managing the day to day running of the showroom
– Maintaining high presentation and visual standards within the showroom
– Ensuring that you and your team uphold company standards and procedures
– Effectively managing the overall performance of your team and encourage them to work as part of a fast paced and close team
– Be a company and brand ambassador
– Develop and maintain existing relationships with our clients
– Resolving client complaints should they arise, in a timely manner
– Maintain awareness of market trends, initiating changes to improve sales and generate new business, including the promotion of our business in the local area

General Duties:

– Administrative responsivities including answering customer calls, confirming orders, dealing with email inquiries, processing payments, arranging samples to be dispatched, chasing sales leads and providing aftercare service
– Providing a high level of customer service throughout the sales journey
– Ascertain customers’ needs and requirements and provide add on sales opportunities
– To offer product and technical advice
– Building client relationships; following through the sale from the initial enquiry, securing the order and organising delivery

About you

You do not need prior industry experience before you join as we provide a comprehensive training programme to familiarise you with our product range.

– Prior managerial experience
– Having a creative flair with an eye for colour would be an advantage.
– We look for people that thrive in a sales and customer focused environment and pride themselves on providing the highest level of customer service to secure the deal.
– The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, sales driven, have the ability to prioritise tasks, have excellent communication both written and verbally, high levels of organisation.
– Be computer literate with a good understanding of basic maths.

Showroom hours

Showroom opening hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday. Showroom employees will have one weekday off every week. We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
