What is an newly qualified (NQ) dentist position?
When you qualify in dentistry, you have a vast array of theoretical knowledge, but could be lacking in real-time experience. An NQ dentist position will allow you to be mentored and nurtured to learn and grow in a caring and supported environment in a beautiful private practice. A two year salaried position, will set you up for a successful career in private dentistry, and will give you all of the tools to provide excellent technical dental care for life.

Practice Culture

The emphasis is on creating a relaxed and calming atmosphere, combined with offering the best treatment techniques, and removing the fear that can be associated with going to the dentist. Always going the extra mile for their patients, CTL Dental offer additional alternative therapies such as NuCalm and acupuncture to help nervous patients.
With soon to be three very large state of the art surgeries, CTL Dental prides itself on offering the very latest in treatment technologies to their patients. An early adopter of the latest technology, Claire has heavily invested in the latest treatments and equipment to ensure they are always offering the best. As a part of our team, you will have access to intraoral scanners in each surgery, Digital Radiography, and a Pentamix, along with full training and mentoring from Claire herself.

Training Offered
Working for CTL Dental offers you the opportunity to be mentored by our Principal Dentist, Dr Claire Lawson. Multi award winning, with years of experience as a speciality doctor in restorative dentistry in the hospital, as a community dentist, in private practice and in the Royal Army Dental Corps, she has a wide array of expertise. She also has an MSc in restorative dentistry, is the North Yorkshire Dentinal Tubules Study Club director and sat on the fitness to practice panel of the GDC for 10 years. Her guidance and mentorship sets this position apart from many others, and will allow you to learn and grow as a dentist in a supportive working environment.
