Enfield Fire Protection are a specialist construction company with over 30 years’ experience working in the fire protection industry for commercial, public and residential buildings. We are looking for a reliable Intumescent Coatings Applicator/Sprayer to join our growing team.
You will be responsible for the safe and compliant application of intumescent fire protection systems across multiple sites, working closely with management to deliver high-quality, regulation-compliant work.
You should have at least 2 years’ experience working as an Intumescent Applicator/Sprayer and preferably an NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection. Salary dependent on experience.

Duties
- Application of intumescent coatings to structural steel using airless spray equipment
- Surface preparation including cleaning, mechanical abrasion and priming
- Monitoring and recording dry film thickness (DFT) in line with specifications
- Maintaining clean, controlled work areas and protecting adjacent finishes
- Working in accordance with RAMS, site rules and safety procedures
- Completing quality checks and assisting with inspection documentation
- Liaising with site management and other trades to coordinate works
- Photographing all works to ensure that we maintain an up-to-date record of the sites.
- Photographing and documenting product batch numbers.
- Completing worksheets on a daily basis, detailing the works completed.
- Staying away for work may occasionally be required, though this will be discussed well in advance.
Requirements:
- NVQ level 2 (preferable but not essential)
- 2+ years’ experience in Intumescent Spraying work
- Knowledge of DFT Testing
- Experience using electronic record keeping systems (OneTrace, Bolster, Boris, etc)
- CSCS Card
- Full, Clean Driving Licence.
