Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic HLTA/Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant educational team. In this vital role, you will support teaching staff by delivering engaging lessons, supervising students, and ensuring a positive learning environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help inspire students to reach their full potential, especially those with special educational needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young learners’ lives while developing your skills in education and student support.

Duties

Assist class teachers with planning and delivering tailored lessons for diverse student needs, including those with disabilities and autism.
Supervise and manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students.
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring and mentoring to support students’ academic progress and social development.
Support students with special educational needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
Foster creative writing exercises and encourage expressive communication to enhance literacy skills.
Monitor student behavior, promote positive conduct, and address behavioral challenges proactively.
Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external specialists to ensure consistent support for students’ growth and well-being.

Skills

Strong understanding of special education principles and experience working with children with disabilities or autism.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
Proven experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring young learners across diverse settings.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies creatively to meet individual student needs.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques and inclusive classroom practices.
Creative writing skills to develop engaging activities that stimulate student expression.
Enthusiastic team player committed to fostering a supportive learning environment.
