Are you a procurement professional who can balance commercial creativity with strict regulatory compliance? Do you thrive on navigating complex Law and policy, cross‑functional partnership, problem‑solving, and delivering robust tenders that support best‑in‑class commerciality? If so, we have an exciting 6‑month secondment opportunity within the Sourcing Execution team for a Sourcing Manager; the person who helps bring category strategy to life.
In this role, you’ll lead compliant sourcing and contracting activity across the full procurement cycle, ensuring high‑quality outputs that are delivered on time, aligned with public sector regulations and policy, and support our strategic goals.
You’ll work closely with category, legal, clinical, project management and other stakeholders to shape, develop and execute framework agreements across a broad portfolio of healthcare consumables, equipment and services. Using strong procurement expertise and stakeholder‑engagement skills, you’ll help clarify requirements, support category and sourcing strategy development, and contribute to effective delivery of key strategic goals.
Every day you will …
- Apply and interpret public sector procurement law and policy to ensure compliant, defensible decisions.
- Select appropriate procurement routes and lead compliant end‑to‑end tender processes from strategy through to contract award.
- Act as a strategic commercial advisor, shaping requirements and translating early ideas into clear sourcing approaches.
- Develop robust contracts and evaluation frameworks, ensuring fair, consistent and high‑quality supplier engagement and submissions.
- Drive effective delivery and continuous improvement through stakeholder collaboration, post‑award transition management, KPI focus, and coaching where needed.
What does success look like?
- Strategy doesn’t stay theoretical; you turn it into real, compliant tenders and contracts that land smoothly and on time.
- Stakeholders feel supported, even when they’re unclear, because you help them figure out what they need and what options exist.
- Tenders are delivered on time, compliant, and commercially strong.
- Supplier responses are better, clearer, and more complete due to your guidance and structured engagement.
- Contracting outputs are accurate, future-proof, and enable continuous improvement.
- Sourcing strategies are strengthened through your insight into options, challenge, and advisory influence.
- The team benefits from your expertise, problem-solving, and structured thinking.
What can we offer you?
We want to reward you for your passion, enthusiasm, and hard work so we offer much more than a competitive salary:
- Hybrid working opportunities, giving you the flexibility to work collaboratively in the office and remotely.
- We recognise our employees’ hard work and contributions with annual bonus schemes, long service, and VIP colleagues awards.
- 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.

- A focus on your well-being offering 1 day of paid well-being leave and free access to the 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
- Generous pension scheme (with us contributing 12% when you contribute 6%)
- Access to our Flexible Benefits Scheme, where you can choose from a variety of benefits such as Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection, Health Cash Plan, Dental Insurance, and additional pension contributions that suit you.
- 2 days of paid volunteering leave allowing you to give back to your community.
