We are looking for…
Counsellors who have specialist knowledge and experience of delivering evidence based support to neurodivergent clients from within the justice system, who are passionate about empowering and educating our service users, where participants will learn how to recognise signs of neurodiversity, respond effectively, work to their strengths and implement supportive practices.
Duties will include:
- Group work
- Remote video and face to face delivery across Derby / Nottingham / Leicester
- Sign Posting
- Tailored interventions to empower and support service users
Client contact is estimated at approximately 80% of the working week for this role.
Qualifications & Essential Criteria
You will be an empathetic and confident communicator, have a range of clinical experience, great problem-solving skills and ready to hit the ground running.
You will have specialist knowledge and experience of neurodiversity and passion to support neurodiverse related mental health barriers.
Essential requirements include:
- Must have HMPPS Enhanced Level 1 vetting
- Degree level qualification/experience in your registered field
- Current registration with relevant professional body
- 3 years post qualifying.
- Unrestricted UK Drivers License and access to own vehicle.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (unrestricted).
- Strong workshop delivery skills.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Excellent IT skills: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and experience of client management systems are a must
- Able to lone work & remote/ as part of a team.
- Enhanced criminal record bureau check (Disclosure & Barring Check) - Working with vulnerable adults, youth and children. (Can be arranged on successful interview)
