Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Mixer Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating Concrete Mixer vehicles to deliver concrete efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent driving skills. The successful applicant will play a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle care and safety compliance.
Duties
- Safely operate concrete mixer vehicles to transport bulk material to various locations in accordance with scheduled routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring all safety and operational standards are met.
- Load and unload material as required, adhering to proper handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper securing of cargo and adherence to environmental standards.
Experience
- Class 1 HGV
- CPC Holder
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with concrete mixer vehicles.
- Prior driver experience is highly desirable, preferably 2 years, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and time management.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting hazardous or bulk materials is advantageous.
