Piano Teacher (Self-Employed)

Lime Tree Music Centre is a busy and welcoming music school based in Matlock, offering high-quality 1-1 tuition in singing, piano, guitar, and drums. We teach students of all ages and abilities and pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
The Role
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Piano Teacher to join our team from August/September.
This is a self-employed role with an existing student base ready to take over, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build regular teaching hours within an established music centre.
Teaching will take place during weekday after-school/evening hours.
All students, admin, and teaching facilities are provided — allowing you to focus on delivering great lessons.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-1 piano lessons to students of varying ages and abilities
- Support students in developing technique, confidence, and musicality
- Prepare students for exams and/or performances where appropriate
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
About You
- Confident pianist with strong musical ability
- Friendly, reliable, and professional
- Passionate about teaching and helping students progress
- Able to build good relationships with students and parents
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous piano teaching experience
- Experience working with children and young people
- Knowledge of exam boards such as ABRSM or Trinity
