Salary: £33,176.00 p.a.
Are you passionate about delivering outstanding dementia care and leading a supportive, dedicated team? We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Head of Dementia Care to oversee our dementia unit and help create a safe, happy, and homely environment for our residents.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, consisting of 2 days supernumerary and 2 days on the care floor. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, plus 1 day every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of our dementia unit, ensuring exceptional standards of care.
- Work closely with residents, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to develop and review care plans.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and homely environment that promotes wellbeing and independence.
- Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations and best practice standards.
- Manage staffing budgets and oversee unit audits to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Prepare and manage staff rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to achieve operational and quality KPIs.
- Promote a positive, inclusive team culture where colleagues feel valued and supported.
