We are offering an exciting opportunity for someone to join our growing local independent business.
The role will be mainly based at our Dereham store where you will be unloading and sorting heavy/bulky items, warehouse admin duties, assembling flat packed items, quality control and assisting in general maintenance of the building, grounds and adjoined showroom. This role also involves assisting in delivering heavy goods into customers properties, where you will be taking responsibility for being our final point of contact with customers.
Occasionally there will be a requirement for assistance with our sister businesses for removal of fitted furniture, subfloor/wall prep and general DIY duties.
We are looking for a physically able, kind mannered, proactive individual with good communication skills, a willingness to learn & become an integral part of our team.
It is extremely desirable for the right candidate to show willingness to work full time and progress into an additional role, such as delivery driver, estimator, furniture/flooring installer or sales/admin assistant. We are a small team of multitalented individuals, and the ideal candidate will take an interest in, and be involved with all aspects of our diverse and growing company.
Beneficial but not essential skills: Basic DIY / Furniture Assembly / Manual Handling / Computer literate / Microsoft Office.
Training will be provided.
Diving Licence preferred but not essential
This role is initially offered: Part time working a min of 3 days over 5 with the intention to become full time for the right candidate.
Working days/hours are : Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
Occasional early starts/late finishes may be required
