By evening, the venue transforms into an elegant cocktail-led space, combining relaxed sophistication with the energy and experience of a modern bar.

Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Baristas & Coffee Shop Assistants to join the opening team at The Parlour.
This role is centred around delivering outstanding daytime coffee service while supporting the seamless transition into an elevated evening venue. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, hospitality, guest experience, and creating a welcoming environment for every customer.
You should be confident working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high presentation standards, and contributing positively to a strong team culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoffee & Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffees, teas, speciality drinks, and refreshments to a consistent standard.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and coffee equipment confidently and efficiently.
- Maintain strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods, milk texturing, and drink presentation.
- Support evening beverage service where required, including assisting with cocktails, soft drinks, and guest service.
- Ensure drinks are prepared quickly and accurately during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of coffee stations and service areas.
Guest Experience
- Deliver warm, friendly, and attentive customer service at all times.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the identity of The Parlour.
- Build positive relationships with regular customers and guests.
- Handle customer requests and feedback professionally and positively.
- Contribute to an environment where guests feel comfortable during daytime coffee service and evening social experiences.
Venue Operations
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and communicate shortages to management.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout front-of-house areas, seating spaces, and service counters.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Support food preparation, pastry presentation, and light service duties where required.
- Assist with maintaining the visual presentation and ambience of the venue.
Team & Culture
- Work collaboratively with management and colleagues across both café and bar operations.
- Bring energy, professionalism, and a positive attitude to every shift.
- Support the launch and growth of a new hospitality concept.
- Contribute ideas to improve customer experience and venue operations.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, hospitality, or customer service environment.
- Passion for coffee and guest experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
Desirable
- Previous barista experience and knowledge of espresso-based drinks.
- Experience working in premium hospitality venues.
- Interest in cocktails, evening hospitality, or dual-service venues.
- Food hygiene or hospitality qualifications.
