To support our continued success, we're looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our finance function, ensuring purchase invoices, supplier accounts and financial records are processed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with the wider accounts team, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial data as the business continues to grow.

You'll be comfortable managing a varied workload, confident liaising with suppliers and colleagues at all levels, and keen to develop your skills within a fast-paced, supportive finance team. Experience with Xero and ApprovalMaxwould be an advantage.

The Day to Day

Process purchase invoices and match them to purchase orders.
Verify invoice accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
Raise and follow up on supplier and internal queries.
Maintain and update agency staff trackers.
Reconcile purchase ledger accounts and supplier statements.
Raise purchase orders in line with company procedures.
Perform company credit card reconciliations.
Ensure financial records are accurate, complete and up to date.
Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
Support the wider accounts team with administrative and accounting tasks as required.

Who Are You?

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar finance administration role.
Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to invoice processing and reconciliations.
Confidence engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Experience using Xero and ApprovalMax is desirable, but not essential.
Living within a commutable distance to Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
