Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate laser cutting machines to produce accurate cuts according to detailed specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine proper machine settings
- Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Use hand tools and tooling to assist with material handling, adjustments, or finishing tasks as needed
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts, ensuring they meet dimensional and aesthetic standards
- Assist with fabrication processes such as grinding or assembly when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience operating laser cutting or similar fabrication machinery is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques including cutting, grinding, and assembly
- Proficiency in using hand tools and tooling for material handling and finishing tasks
- Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating dimensions accurately
- Knowledge of safety standards related to laser operation and metal fabrication environments
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications effectively
