The Role: Factory Supervisor
As a Factory Supervisor at Clayton Glass, you will take full ownership of a key production area, playing a critical role in driving performance, quality, and safety across the shop floor. This is a senior, hands-on supervisory position where your ability to organise, influence, and deliver results will have a direct impact on operational success.
This is more than a traditional supervisory role — it’s an opportunity to take real accountability for output, standards, and team performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll ensure production plans are executed efficiently, while adapting resources to meet changing business demands and maintaining consistent delivery against key KPIs including productivity, glass loss, and quality.
You’ll provide clear direction, structure, and oversight to your team, ensuring priorities are understood, performance is actively managed, and standards are consistently met. You will be expected to create a well-organised, accountable working environment where expectations are clear and delivery is consistent.
Health, safety, and quality will sit at the core of your responsibilities. You’ll ensure all processes are compliant, risks are controlled, and quality standards are embedded through effective process control, daily checks, and timely resolution of issues.
Alongside operational delivery, you’ll play a key role in strengthening performance across your area — identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance ways of working. Your contribution will support wider site objectives and help maintain a consistent, high-performing operation.
At Clayton Glass, we’re looking for an experienced supervisor who is confident taking ownership, making decisions, and driving standards. In return, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your career within a forward-thinking, and innovative business, working with modern equipment and playing a key role in shaping the performance of an established and high-performing site.
