At Villa Farm Shop, we're passionate about great food, outstanding customer service and supporting local farmers, producers and suppliers. We're looking for an experienced Butcher to join our friendly team and help us continue delivering the high-quality products our customers know and love.

What you'll be doing
As part of our butchery team, you'll be responsible for all aspects of traditional butchery, including:
- Breaking down whole carcasses into retail joints for our counters
- Making sausages and producing a range of value-added products
- Curing and slicing bacon
- Preparing and presenting fresh meat to the highest standards
- Keeping displays well stocked, attractive and fully replenished
- Assisting with stock control and helping to minimise waste
- Advising customers on cuts of meat, cooking methods and product selection
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety standards
- Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver exceptional customer service
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a butcher
- Excellent knife skills and proven sausage-making experience
- A passion for producing high-quality products with excellent attention to detail
- A strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices
- The ability to work independently and use their own initiative
- A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A genuine enthusiasm for working in a family-run business

Working Hours
This is a part-time position (3 days per week) working a two-week rota:
Week 1
- Wednesday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Week 2
- Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
