The Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs, diagnosing faults, and ensuring vehicles are restored to manufacturer standards. You will work closely with our Bodyshop team to deliver exceptional service and craftsmanship on every job.
Relevant MET qualifications are preferred, however we will also consider applicants with strong mechanical experience who are keen to develop and work towards MET qualifications (training supported for the right person).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
- Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair method.
- Strip and refit components including airbags, wiring looms, steering systems, suspension, interior trim, and other mechanical/electrical parts.
- Work in line with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and insurance guidelines.
- geometry checks/ wheel alignments
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all repairs meet required standards before completion.
- Maintain accurate job records and communicate effectively with the workshop team.
- Use specialist tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- ATA MET Accreditation OR Equivalent Qualification
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Own tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work efficiently to manufacturer timescales
Desirable (but not essential)
- Hybrid / EV training
- ADAS accreditation
