Role 1: Trust Development and Relief Chef
- Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Term time plus 5 inset days)
- Salary: Grade 8, FTE £38,220 - £41,771 (Actual £32,837 - £35,888) pay award pending
- The Role: Provide mobile operational cover for school Head Chefs, mentor catering staff, and develop nutritious, compliant seasonal menus.
- Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience at Head Chef level, relevant catering qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent), strong budget/team leadership skills, and the flexibility to travel across Trust sites (mileage paid).
Role 2: Executive Assistant to COO & Central Operation Team Leads
- Start Date: 1st September 2026
- Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Thu 8.30am - 4.30pm, Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm)
- Contract: Term time, plus inset days, plus 20 days during school closures (10 during summer)
- Salary: Grade 7 - 8, FTE £34,434 - £41,771 (Actual £32,622 - £39,573)
- The Role: Deliver high-level administrative partnership to the COO. Manage busy diaries, act as an operational gatekeeper, coordinate senior leadership meetings, take minutes, and track organisational compliance (GDPR, health and safety).
- Requirements: Significant senior PA/administrative experience, high-level minute-taking skills, excellent Google Workspace/Microsoft skills, and total discretion.
Role 3: Trust Central Team Administrator – Governance & Statutory Compliance
- Start Date: 1st September 2026 (or earlier by agreement)
- Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (negotiable; state preference in application)
- Salary: Grade 6, FTE £31,557 - £33,699 (Actual £24,171 - £25,811)
- The Role: Support Trust governance, admissions, and legal frameworks. Coordinate governor recruitment, prepare agendas and policies, provide expert clerking for panels/hearings, and maintain compliance portals.
- Requirements: Proven administrative and minute-taking experience, digital confidence (Google Workspace), and top-tier communication and confidentiality skills.
Role 4: Digital Innovation & Operations Specialist
- Start Date: ASAP (Closing Date: 12th July 2026)
- Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Salary: Grade 6 - 7, £16.35 - £19.32 per hour (£31,557 - £37,280 per annum)
- The Role: Act as an internal digital transformation adviser. Build internal Google Sites, design automated data workflows via Google Sheets/BigQuery, build Looker Studio dashboards, and implement AI tools to maximise school efficiency. Open to recent IT/Data postgraduates.
- Requirements: Advanced practical knowledge of Google Workspace ecosystems, experience building training resources, and the ability to explain technical functions to non-technical staff.
Role 5: General Catering Assistant (Kitchen Cover)
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Term time plus 5 INSET days)
Salary: Grade 1, Scale Point 3–4, FTE £24,796 - £25,185 (Actual £11,515 - £11,696) pay award pending
The Role: Provide kitchen cover across schools within the Midsomer Norton Schools' Partnership, supporting the preparation and service of nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness and delivering excellent customer service. This permanent mobile role includes opportunities for longer-term cover placements at individual schools.
Requirements: Good customer service skills, a valid Food Hygiene Certificate, a full clean UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel between Trust schools. You'll be a reliable team player with a positive attitude who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment. Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential.
