Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a Direct Payment Monitoring Officer to join our busy Revenue and Payments Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, professional environment and wants to play a key role in supporting effective service delivery for adults who require social care.

The role focuses on auditing accounts for people who are in receipt of a Personal Budget via a Direct Payment.

What you will be doing:

Providing an efficient and effective audit function
Providing information, advice and guidance to assist people with the financial management of their Direct Payment,
Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation,
Ensuring all tasks are completed and timescales adhered to,
Progress any issues relating to the management of the budget and report to Adult Social Care
Recover any unspent monies following the audit and/or close-down process.
Support the Direct Payment Team

What we’re looking for:

Experience of working in a financial or audit environment would be beneficial

Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence interpreting financial information.

Excellent written and oral communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Effective organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
Proficient in the use a range of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and e-mail.

A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
