Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across various commercial and industrial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong technical background in mechanical systems and a passion for ensuring optimal climate control solutions. The position requires leadership qualities, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.

Duties

Install, service, and repair a wide range of air conditioning units and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Analyse schematics and technical drawings to accurately diagnose issues and plan repairs or installations.
Lead maintenance projects, supervising junior technicians and ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential faults or inefficiencies.
Perform equipment repairs, replacements, and upgrades as necessary to maintain optimal operation.
Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or system upgrades to ensure seamless integration.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance for reporting purposes.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, prioritising safe working practices at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repair within commercial or industrial settings.
Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems and related equipment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and construction drawings.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring team members.
Proficiency in equipment repair, troubleshooting faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
Knowledge of construction processes related to HVAC system installation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or HVAC technology are highly desirable.
A valid driving licence is preferred due to the need for site visits across multiple locations. This role offers an engaging environment for professionals eager to utilise their technical expertise while contributing to the efficient operation of climate control systems across diverse settings.

Pay: £19.00-£21.00 per hour
