Job Summary
ARK Bros Professional Services UK Ltd. is seeking an organised, commercially aware, and delivery-focused Associate Project Manager to join our team in Belfast.
As an Associate Project Manager, you will support the planning and delivery of business and professional-services projects while taking direct ownership of assigned workstreams and smaller projects. You will coordinate project schedules, resources, stakeholders, risks, budgets, documentation, and implementation activities to help ensure projects are delivered according to agreed objectives.
You will work closely with Project Managers, senior management, operations teams, technical professionals, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The role provides a strong progression opportunity for candidates who have already developed solid project-coordination experience and are ready for increased project-management responsibility.
What You'll Do
- Support Project Managers with end-to-end planning and delivery of assigned projects.
- Take ownership of smaller projects or defined project workstreams.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project resources, priorities, dependencies, and deadlines.
- Monitor progress against agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate communication between project teams, clients, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
- Organise project meetings, workshops, progress reviews, and stakeholder sessions.
- Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, decision records, and action trackers.
- Track project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests.
- Develop mitigation actions and escalate significant project risks appropriately.
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, presentations, and management updates.
- Support project budgeting, expenditure monitoring, forecasting, invoices, and purchase administration.
- Monitor project deliverables and follow up on outstanding actions.
- Support project governance and quality-assurance processes.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and electronic records.
- Coordinate activities with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and external service providers.
- Support implementation, transition, testing, and handover activities.
- Maintain information within approved project-management and collaboration platforms.
- Support resource planning and workload coordination.
- Assist with client communications and project-status discussions.
- Monitor project changes and support appropriate change-control processes.
- Contribute to lessons-learned and post-project reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and internal processes.
- Support Project Managers with multiple concurrent projects where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across project-management operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in project coordination, assistant project management, project support, PMO, implementation, operations, or a related professional environment.
- Experience taking ownership of project activities or individual workstreams is preferred.
- Strong project-planning and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of the project lifecycle from initiation through delivery and handover.
- Familiarity with project schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate project-documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, stakeholders, and deadlines.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable preparing project reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, presentations, and management information.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Jira, Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet, Trello, or similar project-management platforms is advantageous.
- General understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning is helpful.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, PRINCE2, or hybrid project-delivery approaches is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder-management and professional communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to recognise project risks and escalate significant concerns appropriately.
- Comfortable taking ownership and accountability for assigned project deliverables.
- Relevant project-management, business, technology, or related education or equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- PRINCE2, APM, Agile, Scrum, or similar project-management qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £3,250.00-£4,500.00 per month
