Full job description

Desirable skills, attributes & qualifications:

Qualifications and Training* – these certificates are essential:

We are looking for an experienced approved electrician with around 5-10 years post AM2 and preferably more experience to join our small city centre based team.

Ideally, we would like to meet a candidate with broad experience after completing their apprenticeship, as we carry out a mix of domestic, commercial, and industrial work. However, we are also very interested in speaking with candidates who feel they have strong experience and are keen to work in a varied role.

Depending on experience, we are offering a competitive starting salary. This is a full‑time, permanent position with salary negotiable according to experience.

Usual duties include domestic and commercial installations, maintenance, and testing.

Hours of work

We usually work between 7.30am to 6pm on a 40 to 42.5hr week.

You will work an eight‑and‑a‑half‑hour shift within this time window.

Occasional overtime is available paid on top of salary but always by arrangement on a fair rota system.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Personal skills

Good organisational skills.
Accurate & efficient.
Strong numeracy & literacy.
Able to manage your own jobs from start to finish.
Experience of new build domestic installation.
Excellent customer facing skills.

Essential Qualifications:

City & Guilds Level 3 in Electro-technical Services and Installation & AM2.
City & Guilds 18th Edition.
City & Guilds Testing and Inspection 2391 or equivalent required.
Full & clean driving license

Non UK electrical training certification holders must provide evidence that those certificates are applicable in the UK and will need to provide conversion documention application.

Desirable Skills, Attributes & Qualifications

Emergency First Aid
ECS gold card
Solar PV + battery experience (Level 3 certificate)
EV installation (Level 3 certificate)
Non-smoker preferred.
