We are seeking an experienced CNC Plasma Cutting & Nesting Operator to join our growing steel fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for nesting, setting, and operating CNC plasma cutting machinery to produce high-quality components in line with production requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and busy fabrication company, working on a wide range of structural and bespoke steel projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Nest CNC plasma cutting machines from technical drawings and customer specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Ensure materials are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
- Monitor quality throughout the production process.
- Work closely with the fabrication and workshop teams to meet deadlines.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting machinery.
- Ability to nest CNC plasma systems independently.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and steel fabrication processes.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Experience within a steel fabrication or structural steel environment.
- Knowledge of nesting software.
- Forklift experience.
