LOOKING FOR PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT TO FUFILL A 24 HOUR WEEKLY CONTRACT (NIGHTSHIFT)

TWO WEEK ROLLING ROTA

WEEK 1: TUESDAY AND THURSDAY

WEEK 2: FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

10PM TO 10AM

12 HOUR SHIFTS

The individual is looking to expand his current personal health care team to fulfill 24 hour care requirements, based in Callander, rural Stirlingshire.

What the client is looking for:

Someone with a patient, caring nature with a positive and proactive mentality to your work. Someone willing to learn and to work to a high standard, and be able to commit to the agreed shift pattern(s). Someone also able to commit to overtime in order to cover holidays and sickness.

Role Description:

This is a permanent role for a Personal Care Assistant, in which you will be required to fully assist with all aspects of daily living, including but not limited to:

Assisting to and from bed.

Assisting with ventilation.

Dressing.

Using tracking hoist(s) for transfers.

Washing, showering and toileting.

Preparing meals and assisting with eating.

Assisting with medication.

Assisting with exercises.

Basic cleaning: Wiping down surfaces, bathroom, and light hoovering.

Occasional outings for leisure pursuits / attending appointments.

The employer may require you to carry out other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications

You must have at least two years experience in care/caring environments.

Experience with personal care and activities of daily living.

You must be able to pass a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) check.

SVQ2 qualification is preferred though not essential.

A valid UK driving license.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
