REGISTERED VETERINARY NURSE (RVN)
Permanent Contract
Folkestone, Kent
£32,000 – £37,000 FTE (DOE)

We're an independent, family owned small animal first opinion practice based on Folkestone’s High Street. We're looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who wants to be valued for their skills and supported in their development.

This role would suit either a recently qualified RVN keen to build confidence and broaden their skills or a more experienced RVN looking for a supportive and well-run practice.

No Sundays
No Bank Holidays
No Out-of-Hours
Working 3 or 4 weekdays
1:3 Saturday mornings
Averaging 32 to 42 hours per week
1-hour lunch break scheduled in the diary

The role

This is a hands-on and varied first opinion RVN position where you'll take part in all nursing duties

Nurse consultations (vaccinations, weight clinics, long-term injections, etc.)
Assisting in theatre and monitoring general anaesthetics
In-patient care and clinical monitoring
Running in-house bloods and lab work
Dispensing repeat medication orders
Supporting reception when needed
All general RVN duties in a busy, well-equipped first-opinion practice

Salary & benefits

£32,000 – £37,000 FTE (DOE)
36 days paid holiday (pro-rata)
BUPA private healthcare
RCVS fees paid
Regular social events all fully funded by the practice

CPD & development

We believe motivated nurses deliver better care and so we invest in development

£1,000 annual CPD allowance as standard
No ceiling on CPD funding if you’d like to pursue certificates etc.
Encouragement and support to develop in areas that genuinely interest you

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Approachable, enthusiastic, and a team player
Committed to high standards of patient care
Comfortable in a first-opinion environment
Enjoys the job and cares about both clients and patients
Appreciates a bit of humour during the day
Lives within a 30-35 minute commute from the surgery
