PointView Farms is one of the largest all tillage farms in Northern Ireland and we are seeking someone to join our team in this brand-new position! Operating at just over 600 acres of cereal crops and grassland, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our farm team. This hands-on role will be field work and yard operations.
We are looking for someone proactive, who will be integrated into the team at PointView Farms and will be required to take on driving and maintenance roles.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate may be required to carry out the following inconclusive list:
- Ploughing and cultivations
- Fertilising using GPS controlled equipment
- Relief crop spraying
- Baling
- Grain drawing during crop harvest/ loading
- Equipment servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Other general farming and maintenance duties as required
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge of basic farming practices
- Must have previous tractor driving experience
- Knowledge of GPS and Precision Farming Techniques
- Learning ability to understand and benefit from on-job training
- Driving licence and ability to operate heavy machinery
- Forklift/ loader experience
Desirable Criteria:
- PA1/ PA2 qualifications
- Organisational and record keeping skills
