Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Butchery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and processing of meat products while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. This role is essential in supporting our butchery operations and delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Duties

Assist the butcher in preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Support in the receiving and storage of meat products, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
Help with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in food preparation tasks as required.
Operate butchery equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of quality.

Requirements

Previous experience in a butchery or food production environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
