Operating from our 14 acre HQ site in East Yorkshire, we employ 65 staff. The majority of these are based in the immediate locality and we are a significant supporter of local community projects and institutions.
Job Description
We are looking to expand the Britcom family further. We require an experienced Skilled Fabricator/Welder/Bodybuilder to join our well-established Engineering team. Dependent on skill level, along with other benefits, you will have the opportunity to earn £16.14 - £21.01 per hour depending on experience, plus enhanced overtime.

The Role
- The role will require you to work on the production of our vehicle bodies based on a variety of manufacturers chassis.
- To work on the production & assembly of bespoke HGV trailers.
- To carry out bespoke modifications to vehicles & trailers.
- To fabricate parts and assemblies as required from drawings.
- To MIG weld mild steel to meet and pass the coding standard.
The Person
- You should have experience working in a fabrication and welding environment, ideally with different models of vehicles and trailers.
- You should be able to work from drawings and written instructions and be mechanically minded.
- You should have the ability to MIG weld mild steel to a high standard in various gauges.
- You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- A forklift licence, overhead crane and lifting/slinging licence would be advantageous but not essential as training would be given.
- Previous experience working in a similar road transport operation would be advantageous.
