Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our manufacturing team in Barton-upon-humber. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and work with various tools and materials. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications related to sheet metal fabrication.
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to assemble and repair metal components accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication tasks.
- Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal parts according to project requirements.
- Operate fabrication machinery and assist with the setup of equipment for various tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding, or similar techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment used in sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
- Experience with assembly processes related to sheet metal components.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: £20.00-£26.98 per hour
