We are a friendly, busy rural GP Practice looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to help our front-of-house team deliver the high standard of care our patients deserve. The practice has 9 salaried GPs along with other multi-disciplinary team members and serves the needs of over 14,200 patients. The practice is based in Lisnaskea Health Centre where a number of other Trust employed specialties are located. The practice also has a branch surgery in Newtownbutler. The practice is also a training practice for under graduate and post graduate medical students.
Job Summary
The role of the Clerical Officer/Receptionist is an integral part of our Practice Team. The Practice Reception is the window to our practice and the first point of contact for patients. It is essential that communication with patients and the public is done in a polite and welcoming manner. Good communication skills and excellent telephone manner is therefore essential. The post holder will be supporting and signposting to the clinical team which comprises of GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists and various multi-disciplinary workers. An essential part of the role will be working within a large administrative and wider primary care team which requires a good team player. Good organizational skills will be essential with attention to detail and flexibility to cover other staff and work additional hours if and when required. Competency in IT systems is essential and experience in EMIS (the Practice clinical system) is an advantage. The Practice promotes continual development of each member of our team and as such the post holder will be expected to attend/engage in internal/online/external training courses, meeting as required.
Pay: £13.44 per hour
