Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in TIG welding and fabrication processes, with a strong understanding of sheet metal work and mechanical principles. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision welding and assembly, contributing to high-quality product outputs. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding on various materials, primarily metals, ensuring high standards of quality and precision
Fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment according to technical drawings and specifications
Work with sheet metal and other materials to create custom parts and assemblies
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and welding processes
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts, ensuring proper fit and finish
Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to safety protocols at all times
Read technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately to guide fabrication tasks

Experience

Proven experience in TIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Must be able to weld 2mm stainless but other general fabrication beneficial.
Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
Knowledge of sheet metal work, fabrication techniques, and assembly processes
Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Potential to be working away from home.
CSCS accreditation desirable but time will be given to gain accreditation.
Must have Full UK driving License.
