Director, Digital Marketing – EMEA Life Sciences

As Director, Digital Marketing, you will define and lead the strategic vision for modern, data-driven marketing across the EMEA Life Sciences organisation.
Reporting to the Senior Director, EMEA Life Sciences Marketing, you'll lead the transition from campaign-based marketing to intelligent, data-driven customer engagement powered by automation, advanced analytics, AI and best-in-class marketing technology.
This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll shape the future marketing operating model across one of the world's leading Life Sciences organisations in EMEA.
You'll lead the transformation across four key areas:

Develop and execute the EMEA digital and data-driven marketing strategy and multi-year transformation roadmap.

Move the organisation from campaign-led marketing to lifecycle, behaviour-triggered customer engagement.

Design a scalable, customer-centric marketing operating model aligned to commercial growth and ROI.

Translate business strategy into integrated, insight-led marketing programmes across EMEA.

Lead innovation pilots and transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Act as the senior EMEA partner to the Global Digital Centres of Excellence, ensuring regional customer, market, language, regulatory and commercial insights shape global digital priorities, campaign design and investment decisions.

Influence SEO, SEM, AEO, paid media and other specialist channel strategies to improve relevance and performance in EMEA, while recognising that channel ownership, budgets, platforms and hands-on execution remain with the relevant global teams

Inspire, develop and lead a high-performing digital marketing transformation team.

Build future capabilities across marketing analytics, automation, data science and AI.

Drive organisational change while creating a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.

Coach and develop future marketing leaders.

Redesign marketing processes, governance and execution models across EMEA.

Standardise best practices to improve efficiency, scalability and customer impact.

Embed lifecycle marketing, personalisation and customer journey management into everyday operations.

Ensure EMEA marketing execution is aligned to measurable commercial outcomes.

Establish effective briefing, prioritisation, feedback and performance-review processes with the Global Digital Centres of Excellence so that global digital programmes deliver against EMEA business and customer needs.

Lead the EMEA adoption of Adobe's enterprise marketing technology ecosystem

Champion the use of advanced analytics, AI and automation to improve marketing performance.

Develop measurement frameworks that clearly connect marketing investment to pipeline, revenue and business growth.

Partner closely with Sales, Commercial, IT, Finance, Corporate Marketing and Global Digital Centres of Excellence to maximise business impact.

Provide a strong EMEA perspective on digital channel performance and optimisation, partnering with global specialists to translate insights into actions that improve customer engagement and commercial outcomes.

You'll bring:

10+ years of experience in digital marketing, eBusiness or data-driven marketing leadership.

A proven track record leading marketing transformation programmes.

Experience redesigning marketing operating models and driving organisational change.

Expertise in customer lifecycle marketing, personalisation and marketing automation.

Strong knowledge of enterprise marketing technologies, with experience across the Adobe technology suite.

Experience embedding analytics, AI and automation into commercial marketing strategies.

Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to link marketing performance to pipeline, revenue and ROI.

Outstanding stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior leaders across complex matrix organisations.

A proven ability to lead through influence across global and regional teams, aligning shared priorities and driving outcomes in a complex matrix organisation.
