Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring that gardens and green spaces are healthy, vibrant, and visually appealing. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance to develop their skills within a supportive environment. The position involves working with a variety of tools and techniques to create and sustain beautiful outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth
Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
Maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscape features
Assisting with landscape design projects and seasonal planting schemes
Conducting routine inspections to identify pests or diseases and implementing appropriate treatments
Clearing debris, weeds, and dead plant material to keep the garden tidy
Supporting the installation of new features such as pathways, fences, or water features
Monitoring soil conditions and adjusting watering schedules accordingly
Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order and stored safely after use

Experience

Previous experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Familiarity with hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, and shovels
Experience operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers is advantageous
Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques is desirable
A genuine interest in gardening, horticulture, or landscape design is essential for success in this role
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently
