Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour

Job Description:

Job Title: Optical Assistant/Receptionist
Location: David Wright Opticians – Old Hill and Netherton
Job Type: Part-time with potential for full time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: August 2026

At David Wright Opticians, we pride ourselves on delivering expert eye care with a personal touch. We’re currently looking for a friendly, reliable, and patient-focused Optical Assistant/ Receptionist to join our welcoming team.

We would kindly request that any candidates applying for the role have previous experience working in an Opticians.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing a warm welcome to patients and guiding them through their visit
Helping patients choose the right frames and lenses for their needs and style
Booking appointments and managing our diary system
Assisting with screening tests under the guidance of our optometrists
Managing stock, handling orders, and processing payments
Keeping the practice looking professional, clean, and organised

What We’re Looking For:

A friendly, approachable manner and great communication skills
A passion for excellent patient care
Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organised
Accountability
Punctuality and reliability
Confidence using computers and booking systems
Experience in Optics is essential
