The Safety Coordinator will provide practical coordination and support to the HS2 Route-Wide Delivery Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. The role will support Safety Advisors, Safety Managers and Senior Safety Managers who report to the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, helping make sure safety activity, reporting, campaigns, observations, assurance actions and safety tools are planned, tracked and followed through across Plant, Utilities, MEP and Site-Wide Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain RWD health, safety and wellbeing KPI trackers, dashboards, calendars, action logs and supporting records.
· Coordinate monthly reporting information for SHWeLT, Exec SHWeLT and other safety governance meetings.
· Support the planning and delivery of campaigns, briefings, stand-downs, attendance records, quiz returns and evidence packs.
· Monitor safety observations, help identify themes and good practice, and support follow-up where required.
· Support safety meetings through agenda preparation, minutes, action tracking and evidence gathering.
· Track close-out of actions from inspections, audits, tours, campaigns, assurance activity and SHWeLT meetings.
· Support the rollout and day-to-day use of safety tools across Route-Wide Delivery.
· Work closely with the company supporting the safety tools, including testing, feedback, user guidance and improvement actions.
· Help improve consistency in how safety tools, records and reporting processes are used across RWD workstreams.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
· Strong organisational skills, good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
· Confident user of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint.
· Able to manage trackers, action logs, calendars, meeting records and reporting information.
· Good communication skills and confidence working with operational and support teams.
· Experience supporting meetings, reporting, safety tools, system rollout or process improvement would be beneficial.
· Experience in construction, infrastructure or a project environment would be useful, but is not essential.
Role Boundaries
This is a coordination and support role. The post holder will not replace the role of a Safety Advisor, Safety Manager or Senior Safety Manager. The purpose of the role is to improve structure, reporting, action tracking, safety tool implementation and evidence management so the safety team can spend more time supporting operational delivery.

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
